I love prac! I love being in the classroom and love meeting new learners. There is something that I don’t like, though. Waiting. Waiting to find out which school I’m going to and for my last three pracs, I have only ever found out the Friday before I start on Monday. AGH! Stressful to say the least. I feel a little relieved that this time, there are other in the same boat as me. Kim blogged about ‘being in the dark‘ still as well. I remember my last prac end of last year; I was the last person they were able to find a placement.

Now thinking about prac – what makes a good teacher? I could write on and on about this! Mainly I think a good teacher is someone who has a presence in the classroom, who respects their students, skilled leader, and has their love for learning. Have a read of this article that I found fascinating. John Hattie also has some great stuff about being an outstanding teacher.

But while we wait in anticipation in finding out our placements – back to assignments.

Stay happy,

CK.
